We designed the LeapFrog Nest and Count Turtle Tower with stackable shells and a wheeled base to help little ones develop key motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Each shell is uniquely sized, textured, and vibrantly colored to assist in the exploration and identification of shapes and colors.

LeapFrog Spinning Lights Letter Ring
Meet Sparky the phonics firefly! Zip around the ring and this friendly little bug will light up each letter to introduce letters, letter sounds, spelling and animals. Delightful animations of Sparky and the animals accompany each discovery. Sparky loves to play hide and seek! Listen to the letter and letter sound clues to find the letters Sparky is hiding behind. Finding the firefly helps build early reading skills by getting preschoolers to look for Sparky again and again.

PAW Patrol: To The Rescue! Learning Video Game

We designed this vacuum toy for children 2+ as the interactive games exercise young children’s emerging skills to count from 1-10 and identify colors by name. It challenges adept walkers to steer the toy toward specific targets to strengthen coordination and planning skills.

MediPLAYtion is when people cooperatively engage in digital media to distract focus away from a medical procedure in order to reduce pain, anxiety, and distress. I coined this term while researching the use of iPads during needle poke procedures in the children's hospital.

Distraction in Action is a web-based tool that uses a predictive algorithm to determine a child's risk for distress during medical procedures. The findings from 20+ years of nursing research help identify key factors that influence a child's ability to focus attention on distraction, such as books, toys, and games instead of the needle!
